The Retreat Center
The retreat center is about 16,000 square feet

Located on the upper levelof the retreat center:

This retreat center building contains our dinning (and meeting) hall, which seats 240. It has a large kitchen area. This is also where we have our chapel and praise/worship times. We have an up-to-date sound system in this building.

Retreat Center Dorms
There are four separate dorm area's in the Retreat Center. These dorms have full bathrooms.

Staff Quarters
This room, also in the Retreat Center, near the kitchen, sleeps five and has a shower and toilet.


Lodge
The Lodge has 10 sleeping rooms and two meeting or sitting rooms. Some of the sleeping rooms sleep 8 people and some sleep 6 people. The Lodge is new and construction was completed on it in 2010.

Tee-Pee Tents
We have three tents that are 16 feet by 16 feet. We have one wooden platform for one of these tents. These tents will sleep 10 people comfortably.

Cottage on Lake Byron
This cottage has a bunk bed, two hide- a-beds, stove and refrigerator. This has an excellent beach for swimming.

Other Areas
We have a nice waterfront area we use for canoeing, kayaking and paddle boats on Lake Byron. There are several large fields located to the south of the retreat center, which are great for sports, outdoor games, or any activities that require alot of open space. There are a load of fun things to do. Among them we have facilities including a softball field with backstop, volleyball nets, trampolines, outdoor climbing wall, air rifle and archery range, basketball court, frisbee golf course, horses (upon request), obsticle course, swing sets, a tire climb, zip line, and a nice walking path along the dike following the James River.

Some other equipment the camp has available includes bikes, bocce ball, a beanbag throw, carpet ball, insect catching nets, a bat house and spider web frame, crafts, croquet, darts, fishing, kites, frisbee, golf clubs, horse shoes, kickballs, a washer toss, limbo bars, a log walk, nature hike areas with nature identification books, a rope swing and rope (spider web) wall, tug of war ropes and whiffle ball equipment.

Rental Rates

To rent and reserve Byron Bible Camp and its facilities a $100.00 deposit is needed (this deposit will be applied toward your bill).

Day use of Building only (1 to 10 hours) is $200.00 min.
($4.00/person for each person over 50 people)

Day use of Grounds and Building (1 to 10 hours) is $10.00 per person (minimum $200.00)

Grounds fee includes use of the retreat center, picnic tables, soccer field, softball field, volleyball court, zip-line, basketball court, horseshoes, campfires, archery range, air rifle range, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, carpet ball table, big washer toss, four square, trampolines, balls, croquet, Bocce ball, box hockey, darts, fishing, golf, swing sets, tire climb and more.

Overnight Lodging (12 to 24 hours) is $20.00/person
This includes the use of grounds, buildings, beds, bathrooms and showers.

Bedding and Towels, $12/person per week
We can provide bedding and towels, but we recommend you bring your own.

Camp Meals
You may need to provide a few people to help wash dishes after a meal.
Regular camp meals:
Breakfast is $5.00/person per meal
Lunch is $6.00/person per meal
Supper is $7.00/person per meal


Banquet meals $9.00/per person

Other Info
You may bring your own cooks and fix your own meals
Service camps (at least six hours of work a day) receive a discount

Children ages 4 and under are eat free with parents
An ice rink must be requested at least two weeks in advance
Horses must be requested 3 weeks in advance
Each group must complete the "Last day clean up list"
We require adult supervision on the trail rides, zip line, waterfront, air rifle and archery range

Optional Activities and Rates
Climbing Wall, $20/hour, must be scheduled in advance. Only approved personnel are able to supervise and direct the climbing wall.
Cross country ski rental, $2.00/three hours
Ice Skate rental, $2.00/three hours
Canoe rental with drop off or pickup, $15.00/canoe (within 15 miles of camp)

Horse drawn hay ride (or buggy ride, buggy holds 4 people), $60.00/hour
Horseback trail ride, $12.00/person per hour
